Velo Club Deal is going to run a short series of training sessions for cyclists looking to improve their group riding skills.
The Location is Fowlmead Country Park nr Deal. It has a 2 mile closed (traffic free) tarmac circuit.
The format will be a number of short (20min) sessions over an hour and a half focusing on group skills, safety and handling drills. Starting slow & finishing at a beginner racing pace.
It will cost £1 Jun/£2 Sen to cover the circuit hire.
The sessions are for:
• Male & Female adults & over 14s, who thought they might like to try racing, but don’t know where to start.
• Cyclosportive riders looking to improve their bunch riding skills.
• People returning to cycle sport after a break.
• Club riders who have had some time off.
You will need:
• A drop handlebar road bike in good working order.
• A helmet.
• Suitable clothing for the weather (it IS winter after all).
• A basic level of fitness (e.g. you do 2hr rides).
