Ronde Van Oost Kent Super Club Run – Sunday 6th April

Rob Kingsland has organised a superb sportive for everyone who is not going to be in Flanders on Sunday for the real Ronde. No pave, but the best of East Kent’s evil hills in a 120km loop. The course will be marked, the tea will be hot and the company convivial. It’s like a club ride only longer and hellingen-ier….

All welcome. Spread the word.

Saturday 15th March 7pm – Prize-giving/Quiz Night

The annual Prize-giving night will be combined with a quiz night this year.

Ian has invited  National Champion and International Cyclocross star Ian Field to attend.

The quiz will be general knowledge, with a cycling theme, so you won’t have to be a full-on bike nut to have a chance.

It’s not just for members! Friends of the club are very welcome, so if you can make up a table of 8-10 people, please book one with Ian or Arron, as it got pretty full last time…

There will be a best “retro cycling jersey” competition (yes, you have to prove it still fits), raffles & so on.

Nibbles will be provided, but bring your own food, drink and glasses etc.

The cost will be £2 for adults @ 50p for under 18s.

Contact IanFerrell@sky.com or harris7273@sky.com to make bookings.

Cyclocross Racing Sunday 19th Jan at Fowlmead

A good days racing was had by all those who made the trip to Fowlmead on Sunday. What was a “fairly dry considering” course was turned into a swamp of surface water by heavy overnight rain. But the course remained very ridable, due to the firm undersurface provided by the artificial geology of Fowlmead…

Note: We are aware of a few issues with the U21s result – we are waiting for all appeals to come in before we announce a final result. Thanks for your patience.

Thanks to all the helpers.
